Be A Volunteer
Our volunteers are essential to our work.
The work is challenging and rewarding. We are looking for men and women aged over 18 to join our team and support us to deliver a quality service to our clients.
We offer induction training and on-going support for all of our volunteering roles. Throughout the year we have opportunities to say ‘Thank You’ to our volunteers with a range of different activities.
All our volunteers must have an Enhanced DBS check.
WHAT OUR VOLUNTEERS SAY
Be A Trustee
We are a small but busy charity and need willing individuals who are able to commit time and energy to help run the charity. We are looking for those who are willing to offer their experience in a hands-on way whilst ensuring the charity as a whole is working towards a clear strategy.
DRCSC Trustees currently meet once a month with Operational meetings (Jan,Mar,May,Jul,Sep,Nov) and Strategic meetings (Feb,Apr,Jun,Aug,Oct,Dec). There are also Sub-groups set up as needed and these meet separately.
If this sounds like an exciting and rewarding challenge for you and you would like more information please email email@example.com
All new Trustees are required to undertake our Induction programme, a DBS check and complete all relevant paperwork upon appointment.
Victoria Heeley - Secretary
I joined the Board of Trustees in November 2017, DRCSC is a charity I am passionate about and I wanted to give more than the volunteering I was already carrying out one afternoon a week. As secretary I type up the minutes of the board meetings and any sub-groups I attend and I send out agenda’s for board meetings and any other meetings as needed. I also am on two sub-groups, one in my role as secretary but the other one more due to the professional experience I have with IT. It is a very exciting and challenging time at DRCSC and I am very pleased I am able to add my support to the amazing team of staff and volunteers who are working on the front-line of our service every day.
