We know it takes courage and it is not easy, but talking to someone in confidence can help you sort out and cope with your feelings.

The Telephone Helpline  offers a listening service.  It is often the initial point of contact for survivors of sexual violence when taking the first step towards acknowledging the impact of sexual trauma on their lives.  You do not have to give your name if you do not wish to.

All our volunteers are trained and experienced and will listen in complete confidence, to women or men over the age of 16 years, who have experienced any form of sexual violence.

We will listen to anyone, however trivial or serious a problem may seem. We will listen regardless of when the rape or sexual abuse happened, whether or not it is still occurring and whoever the attacker was or is.

We understand that it is hard to pick up the telephone and talk about what has happened to you, but when you are ready, take courage and call our Helpline on 01202 308855.

Please note that some of our evening sessions are covered by both female and male volunteers, if you prefer to speak to a female volunteer our male volunteers will be happy to transfer your call.
