Dorset Rape Crisis Support Centre (DRCSC) has a number of vacancies for qualified volunteer counsellors and opportunities for placement counsellors who are willing to make a voluntary commitment of a minimum of 3 hours per week. Volunteer counsellors need to be fully trained in professional therapeutic counselling and placement counsellors in the final stage of their training.
Volunteers need to be a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy or registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy.
Volunteer counsellors must have their own professional indemnity insurance.
All volunteers must have a satisfactory DRCSC DBS check.
All volunteer counsellors with DRCSC must complete our induction training and be available for continued professional development.
