Volunteer Counselling

 

  • Dorset Rape Crisis Support Centre (DRCSC) has a number of vacancies for volunteer counsellors willing to make a voluntary commitment of 1 to 2 hours per week. Volunteer counsellors need to be fully trained in professional therapeutic counselling or in the final stage of their training.
  • Volunteers need to be a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy or registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy.
  • Volunteer counsellors must have their own professional indemnity insurance.
  •  All volunteers must have a satisfactory DRCSC CRB check.
  • All volunteer counsellors with DRCSC will do a short training programme on rape and its effects.
